The purple alert on the Company Selection screen is the Annual Review Deadline Alert. It is the only alert in CAS 360 shown in purple. This article explains why it may still show after the annual review documents have been digitally signed (via FuseSign, Docusign, Adobe Sign or PleaseSign), and how to clear it.
Query
The annual review documents for a company have been signed, but the purple document alert is still showing. Why hasn't it cleared?
Solution
The Annual Review Deadline Alert tracks the annual review fee due date. It appears when Track the annual review via the document deadline alert is toggled on in the Document Production screen.
The alert does not clear when the annual review fee is paid. Whether it clears when the documents are signed depends on a setting chosen before the documents were sent for digital signing:
- If Mark Annual Review as Completed once all documents have been signed? was set to Yes, the alert clears automatically once all signatories have signed.
- If it was set to No (the default), the alert stays on after signing and must be cleared manually.
Why the alert doesn't clear by default
Firms use the alert differently. Some clear it when the documents are signed, some when the fee is paid, and some only when both are done. For this reason, clearing it is a manual step unless you choose otherwise.
Clear the alert for a company
- From the Main Toolbar, go to Company.
- Locate the company and click the purple Annual Review Deadline Alert.
- Click Complete Annual Review.
The alert will be removed.
Clear the alert automatically for future annual reviews
When preparing the annual review documents, in the Document Production screen under Electronic Signing Options, set Mark Annual Review as Completed once all documents have been signed? to Yes before clicking Send All.
This will also make it the default for all future annual reviews.
Documents already sent
This setting only applies to documents sent after it is turned on. For documents already sent for signing, clear the alert manually using Complete Annual Review.
