When processing share transactions, CAS 360 prompts an option of selecting a certificate type.
This will determine the type of transaction, and how the transaction is to be displayed on the Share Certificate.
A Balance Share Certificate will determine how many shares the shareholder has left after the transaction.
A Transaction Share Certificate will determine how many shares are being accounted for in the transaction.
Where there is an option to select 'None', a share certificate will not be produced for the shareholder at hand.
Example
Shareholder A and B holds 100 shares each.
Shareholder A is being transferred 10 shares by Shareholder B.
Upon selecting balance as the certificate type, the share certificate will certify 110 shares held by Shareholder A, and 90 shares held by Shareholder B.
Whereas when selecting transaction, the share certificate will instead certify 10 shares transferred to Shareholder A.
Selecting 'None', will not produce a share certificate for the shareholder at hand.
