When managing company records, it’s important to ensure all workflows are completed before deactivating a company. This includes any documents that are still waiting for electronic signatures.
Can outstanding signatures be completed after deactivation?
No. If a company is deactivated while a form is still awaiting signatures (for example, Form 362), the signature process may be interrupted.
Once a company has been deactivated:
- Documents may no longer be accessible through CAS 360
- Outstanding signature requests may not be able to be completed or returned
- Any in-progress transmission workflows may be affected
For this reason, deactivating a company with pending signature requests is not recommended.
Recommended process before deactivating a company
Before deactivating a company, ensure the following steps are completed:
- All required forms and lodgements have been finalised
- All electronic signature requests have been fully completed and returned
- There are no outstanding or pending document workflows (including Form 362)
