When entering a Director ID in CAS 360, you may encounter the error:
“Please enter a valid Director ID number.”
This occurs when the Director ID entered is not recognised as valid by the system. CAS 360 automatically validates Director IDs using an algorithm check, so only IDs that meet the correct format and criteria will be accepted.
Why this happens
Invalid Director ID format
A valid Director ID:
- Is 15 digits long
- Passes the algorithm check that ensures it is a correctly issued ID
If the ID is too short, too long, or contains incorrect numbers, CAS 360 will reject it with the error above.
How to confirm a Director ID
Directors can verify their Director ID via the ABRS Director ID portal:
- Visit: ABRS Director ID website
- Log in using your MyGovID or personal details
- Select "view my ID," or check your inbox.
- Confirm the 15-digit Director ID
Once confirmed, the correct Director ID can be entered into CAS 360.
