How do I transfer or allot shares to a trust?
Solution
A Trust or SMSF cannot hold shares legally.
Therefore the shares must be held by another entity (either a person(s) or Company) and the Trust would then be the beneficial owner.
A legal owner is essentially the 'official' owner of the shares whereas the beneficial owner is the person or entity with the right to enjoy or benefit from the shares.
