Details
Special purpose companies include superannuation trustee companies, non-profit companies and home unit companies. The company annual review fee is a reduced fee for special purpose companies.
A company that will commence as a special purpose company, or that will cease to be a special purpose company, will need to notify ASIC using Form 484.

Instructions
To commence a Special Purpose Company, under the Company Status section, select the Company Sub Class as either:
- superannuation trustee company
- non-profit company
- home unit company

Note: Cease as a Special Purpose Company To cease being a special purpose company, under the Company Status section, change the Company Sub Class from its current special purpose value (superannuation trustee company, non-profit company or home unit company) back to the ordinary sub class that reflects the company’s actual status. |
