Overview
The ASIC error V270 - Company Name Reservation Details Do Not Match ASCOT occurs when ASIC expects a valid company name reservation, but the reservation details provided do not match ASIC's records.
This can happen when lodging a company registration (Form 201) or a company name change (Form 205), and an incorrect reservation number is supplied, the reservation has expired, or a company name reservation is selected when no reservation exists.

How to resolve the error
Option 1 - No name reservation exists
If a company name reservation was not previously lodged:
- Open the transaction.
- Review the Would you like to use an existing Company Name Reservation? setting.
- Change the setting to No.
- Reprepare and lodge the transaction.
Option 2 - A name reservation exists
If ASIC has approved a company name reservation:
- Confirm the reservation number is correct.
- Confirm the reservation has not expired.
- Confirm the proposed company name exactly matches the reserved name.
- Reprepare and lodge the transaction using the correct reservation details.
