Sole Director Company
Note that Companies need to have at least one director at all times. If the resigned director is a sole director of the company, ensure a new director is appointed first before the existing director is ceased.
Ceasing an alternate director
If an expiry date was provided at the time of appointment, you don't need to notify when the alternate director ceases.
If the appointment was open-ended, you need to notify the date of cessation by preparing and lodging the form 484. (follow steps above)
See the ASIC website for more information.
Form 370
While form 484 is used to resign or remove an officer, form 370 is used by the officer themselves to resign themselves.
If needed, in Document Production, simply toggle this Form.
Once the form is toggled on the Form 370 - Settings panel will appear from the side. You will need to select which officers are ceasing on the from 370.
