Query
I have input the consideration amount of a share transfer in CAS but when I print Form 484C, why is CAS 360 not populating the consideration amount on Form 484C?
Solution
In a share transfer, the amount used on Form 484C must match the amount on ASIC database. This amount would most likely be the cost of the share that has initially been provided to ASIC at the acquisition of the share (e.g. allotment or subscription).
For example:
At allotment of share, Bettie Brown has acquired 100 units of $1 Ordinary Shares and has fully paid $100. These shares were then transferred to Simon Duran where he paid a total of $120 for the total 100 units of ordinary shares. In CAS 360, the amount paid per share can be recorded as $1.20 per share. On ASIC database, when the same shares were transferred, the shares must have the same cost. Thus, on Form 484C, amount paid for shares must be shown as $1 per share to match ASIC database.
