Overview
If a trust carries on a business in Australia or derives income from property in Australia and there is no trustee who is an Australian resident, the trustee generally appoints a public officer.
The public officer must be a natural person of at least 18 years of age residing in Australia and who is capable of understanding the nature of their appointment as the public officer.

Select Public Officer.
Instructions
CAS 360 will display the Add Public Officer screen.
Field | Explanation |
---|---|
Name |
Begin typing the public officer's name. CAS 360 will begin searching the Global Contact screen for the person. If the Contact has not been previously added to the Global Contact screen, will appear. Click to add a new contact. |
Status | Select the New Status of the Public Officer. Select between Appointed, Resigned or Removed. |
Appointed Date/Date Ceased | Enter the appropriate date of the change. |

- Trustee Minutes or Resolution
- Register of Trust Events
- Register of Trust Relationships
