Overview
In some cases, a client may have already signed a manual ASIC form outside of CAS 360. You may still wish to prepare the form in CAS 360 for record-keeping and electronic lodgement to ASIC, without sending the document to the client for signing.
Preparing Documents Without Sending
When generating documents in CAS 360, you will see two options:
- Send All: Sends documents to the client for signing (e.g. DocuSign)
- Download All: Prepares documents without sending them
To avoid sending documents to the client, select Download All.
Once selected:
- CAS 360 will generate and prepare the documents
- No email or signing request will be sent to the client
- Documents will be available in the Global Documents screen
Lodging the ASIC Form
After preparing documents:
| From the Main Toolbar, go to Documents |
- Locate the ASIC form
- Click the Lodge button under the Actions column
If successful, the document will proceed to ASIC for processing.
Why the Lodge Button May Not Appear
If there is no Lodge button, it usually means the ASIC form was not included in the prepared documents.
For example, you may have only prepared:
- Directors Minutes/Resolution
- Share Certificate
- Share Transfer Forms
- Notices of Beneficial Ownership
- Declaration of Trust
In this case, the ASIC form (e.g. Form 484) has not been generated, so it cannot be lodged.
How to Include the ASIC Form (e.g. Form 484)
To ensure the ASIC form is created:
- Re-open the Document Production screen
- Confirm that Form 484 is selected
- Click Download All again
Once prepared correctly:
- The ASIC form will appear in Global Documents
- The Lodge button will be available
