Overview
When using CAS 360 to manage your EDGE machine, you can assign your EDGE mailbox as either Primary or Secondary. Only one mailbox can be active at a time, which determines where ASIC-generated messages are delivered.
Why There Are Different Mailboxes
ASIC sends electronic messages through EDGE, including company statements, correspondence, and payment acknowledgements. Firms can have both a Primary and Secondary mailbox to provide flexibility and redundancy:
Primary Mailbox – The default mailbox that receives all ASIC messages first.
Secondary Mailbox – Used as a backup in case the primary mailbox is unavailable (e.g., during maintenance or technical issues).
How to Change the EDGE Mailbox in CAS 360
| From the Main Toolbar, go to Settings | |
| Select Lodgement/Agent Settings |
- Beside the Agent details click
- Click Edit
Beside ASIC Mailbox, select SECONDARY
If you were using the Secondary Mailbox and need to switch to the Primary Mailbox, select PRIMARY
